Educational visit to Anandashram Manuscript Library and Museum, Pune

As per the NCISM new curriculum, a field visit to Anandashram Manuscript Library and Museum, Pune was arranged by CPGS & RA, Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune to explore manuscripts and oriental research.

In the institute, Mrs. Sushama Mane gave the information of the institute, major research projects completed and ongoing in the institute. The process of manuscripts preservation, maintenance, cataloging was explained in details. The institute is a center for Gyan Bharatam Project implemented by Ministry of Arts, Government of India. All the information regarding project was also explained. Then student visited the “Museum” of the institute. There was old carved pottery, furniture etc. There was a display of palm leaf manuscripts, birch bark manuscripts, carvings on copper plates. In one of the manuscripts in display, actual gold is used for decoration.
